Alexis

I shoot cars the way most people shoot landscapes — patiently, and usually in bad weather. Alexis Creative Lab started as a way to put those two subjects in the same frame: a machine somewhere it has no business being, under light that only lasts a few minutes.

Most of the work here was made on road trips through the Cascades, the high desert and the coast highway. I work with owners, builders and shops on feature shoots, rollers and studio detail work.

Gear: 35mm and medium format digital, a couple of fast primes, one very tired tripod.
